Aluminium-Copolymer

The Aluminium/Copolymer tape is a semi-flexible aluminium tape coated, on one or both sides, with a thin film of copolymer material that acts as a thermo-activatable adhesive.

The thickness of the aluminium varies depending on the type of cable, where it is installed or the required characteristics.

These materials are used to create a shielding, watertightness or a barrier against water penetration and, depending on the situation, a certain protection against short-circuit as a return channel. They are also used to improve the impact resistance and resistance to compression in submarine cables.

Our tapes are co-polymer coated, adjustable in thickness and applied through hot vulcanisation, which guarantees a perfect adhesion of the co-polymer to the aluminium and of the co-polymer to the cable sheath.

Our cutting lines allow us to produce within very short delays of delivery.
