Copper-Polyester

Copper/Polyester tapes (CU/PET for short) consist of a copper foil bonded by an oven-cured polyurethane adhesive to a polyester tape. As with Aluminium/Polyester tapes, the Polyester foil gives the tape mechanical reinforcement and good tensile strength. Copper provides electromagnetic shielding, which makes it indispensable for signal cables, pair cables, high-speed data cables, coaxial cables, etc.

The thickness of the laminated assembly varies according to the type of cable, the shielding required for data cables, etc., or even the cable manufacturing process. It is often used in cases where attenuation levels or shielding are critical to the application for which the cable is used.

The colour of the laminate is neutral.
